Fresno trip! 2/20/2012
So..Christine, Fiona, and I drove off to Fresno at 8:30AM this morning to see Tanya in Visalia! THANK YOU, CHRISTINE FOR DRIVING TO AND BACK! I was a horrible passenger and couldn’t stay awake. :( Thank you also to Tanya for driving up those scary slopes in Sequoia national park and taking us everywhere!
Anyway..to sum it up:
1) We listened to a Hunger Games ebook on the drive there. zzz That female narrator is HORRIBLE.
2) Tanya spoiled us with pistachios. I LOVE PISTACHIOS.
3) It apparently snowed this past month at the Sequoia National Park so we had to make an extra hour detour to get chains for safety.
4) My phone died SO EARLY in the day. 2PM maybe? I had to use it as little as possible but it didn’t even stay alive long enough for me to snap a photo at General Sherman. :(
5) In Giant Forest, I went around touching the barks of trees and thinking “hi tree.” Idk. Somehow, I felt like..maybe..they would feel my emotions. I’ve been reading too many stories.
6) General Sherman is the largest Sequoia tree in the Sequoia State Park. He is PRETTY EFFING BIGGGG. I wish my phone was alive to take pictures :(
7) Wearing chucks in snow (THAT WE DID NOT EXPECT! Which is why Fiona was in flats and a summer dress) does not work well. Somehow, Fiona seemed to be doing better in flats than any of us..
8) LL Steakhouse in Visalia was good, but the customer service was horrible! Wish I could’ve taken a picture of my prime rib with my phone!
9) I need to work on my memory and story telling skills. Sorry guys. Hope my memory blanks and story telling wasn’t TOO bad. :x
10) Tanya spoiled me with two bags of my FAVORITE HALLOWEEN CANDY! I couldn’t find it ANYWHERE during Halloween and she was lucky enough to hoard 10 bags. hahaha THANK YOUUU.
Looong day (8:30AM~12:30AM) but fun day. :) Time to pass out!
